Our Name
The name Aspiring Leadership was chosen after the Principal, Shelley McClure explored several definitions of the word aspire and reflected intently on her vision for women in leadership. The Open Dictionary (2008) defines aspiring as the ability "to desire strongly, to strive toward a goal, to soar". This definition resonates strongly with Shelley who encourages you to lead from where you stand™. Shelley believes wherever you are, begin from within, identify your passion and interest, and then courageously work towards your goal.
